The Oath

Your story begins in the sand.

A chained gladiator led through the gate of a Roman ludus
Concept art
The same gladiator crowned with laurel before a roaring arena
Concept art

You begin as property of the arena: a slave gladiator fighting for freedom. Every expedition, every duel and every hard-won piece of armour carries you closer to it, and beyond.

The main story unfolds in chapters as your level rises, told through short texts and chapter illustrations. You need both expeditions and the arena to grow strong enough to go on.

Reaching the level cap does not end the tale. The story continues through seasonal chapters.

A session in the arena

Open. Choose. Prepare. Collect.

Built for two or three sessions of roughly 20 to 30 minutes a day, with deeper systems waiting when you have hours to spare. This is how a short session flows.

Vigor that waits

Expedition energy stores roughly two and a half days. Missing one day does not waste it.

A welcome back

A summary after 24 hours away, a comeback bonus after three days and vacation mode after seven.

Short or long

Daily and weekly quests, timed journeys of one, four or eight hours, and auto fights in mastered regions.

Accessible from the start

Text scaling to 120%, reduced motion, one-handed reach and haptics for key moments.

The Road

Nine regions. One road through the Empire.

Every region holds five enemies and a boss. Beat the boss to master the region and open the road onward. Each land is harder than the last, with better rewards.

01

Prepare

Choose active skills and their order before the fight. Your weapon decides how many skill slots you get.

02

Discover

Hit chance, dodges, shield blocks, critical hits, double hits, armour and elemental resistances shape every exchange.

03

Adapt

Bosses change their behaviour at health thresholds. After a defeat, the game hints at what to improve.

The Spoils

Every victory leaves something behind.

Loot drops after every fight and is better after a victory. Every item combines a prefix, a historical base and a suffix, with values rolled inside a narrow range.

Bosses always drop high-quality loot, and each region's boss has its own item set. In Latium it is the Spoils of Hercules.

+10

Upgrade limit

From +1, an upgrade can fail and destroy the item, with rising risk. Protection scrolls keep it safe.

100

Crafting levels

Learn recipes for good, gather by mining and hunting, dismantle old gear and craft for other players.

The Arena

The arena remembers every challenge.

Face a real player's saved build and skill order, even while they are offline. Inspect their equipment and the rating change before you commit.

  • Ten attacks, plus one more every hour
  • Opponents within five levels, and revenge within 24 hours
  • Protection for new players and after a lost defence
  • An eight-week seasonal league and a rating that never resets
  • Separate PvE and PvP rankings, and a Hall of Fame

The City

Earn it. Forge it. Trade it.

Rome beyond the arena runs on what players earn, gather and craft.

Auction house

The forge

Craft gear as strong as the best loot. Recipes are learned for good, and every attempt carries risk.

Mining and hunting

Gather materials at places on the map and raise your professions.

Dismantling

Dismantle and smelt items into materials, with a chance of a rare result.

The bank

Protect your gold for a five-percent deposit fee. The limit grows with your level.

The Guild

No legend stands entirely alone.

From level 10, join a guild of up to fifty players. Fund the Palaestra, Officina, Horreum and Temple of Mars together for training discounts, services, shared storage, bonuses and group content.

The Chronicle carries the world's news: legendary and mythic drops, first boss kills, great level milestones, new guilds and equipment raised to +10.

The Eternal World

What makes the world endure?

Realms of Gladiators is built as one persistent world. Four principles keep what you earn meaningful.

  1. I

    Eternal economy

The world economy never resets. Every movement of gold and items is recorded on the server, and the market runs on what players earn and craft.

  2. II

    Seasonal chapters

Eight-week leagues bring rewards, titles and achievements. After the level cap, the main story continues through seasonal chapters.

  3. III

    Server-resolved combat

Every fight is calculated on the server, from expeditions to the arena. The replay only shows what already happened.

  4. IV

    Player history

Level, gold and Honor always stay. The Chronicle records great drops and first boss kills, while the Hall of Fame and a permanent rating remember the greatest.

Daily rhythm

The Empire keeps moving.

Several times each day a region may offer double loot, a one-hour arena tournament may open or a Roman festival may begin.

Plans after launch are not final · background: concept art

The Workbench

Follow an independent game in the making.

Systems, art and balance are shared as they are built. These notes summarise the current design and will change as development continues.

World

The first road: building Latium

From bandits along the Via Appia to a fire-breathing son of Vulcan, every location begins with history and bends toward myth.

Combat

A five-second verdict

The fight is decided on the server, but its short replay still has to tell a readable story of every block, miss and critical hit.

Equipment

When an item earns a name

Prefixes, Roman equipment and suffixes combine into recognisable loot, while narrow value ranges keep comparisons easy.

Before the gates open

What we can tell you now.

When will it be released?

The game is in development. No release date has been announced.

Which platforms are planned?

Realms of Gladiators is coming to iPhone and Android. A browser version is being considered for the future, but it is not confirmed.

How long is a normal play session?

The game is built for two or three sessions of roughly 20 to 30 minutes a day, while still offering systems to explore for hours when you have time.
